Mr. Camara’s Groupe Guicopres is one of Guinea’s leading indigenous construction and infrastructure companies, with extensive experience in delivering large-scale projects, including roads, bridges, government facilities, housing developments, healthcare infrastructure, educational institutions, and commercial complexes across the region.
President Boakai welcomed Mr. Camara’s interest in Liberia and noted that increased collaboration between Liberian and Guinean businesses would further strengthen regional economic integration and promote shared prosperity within West Africa.
The Guinean business magnate’s visit is expected to help deepen economic ties between Liberia and Guinea while advancing opportunities for foreign direct investment, employment creation, and sustainable infrastructure development.
The Liberian Leader highlighted Liberia’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for responsible investment, especially in the sub-region, emphasizing the importance of partnerships that support economic growth, job creation, technology transfer, and infrastructure modernization.
The President and Mr. Camara discussed opportunities for private-sector participation in Liberia’s infrastructure transformation, including potential public-private partnership arrangements in priority areas such as transportation networks, affordable housing, industrial facilities, logistics, and agro-processing.
Mr. Camara, for his part, expressed interest in establishing a long-term presence in Liberia and partnering with the Government and local businesses to contribute to the country’s development agenda.
