President Boakai Congratulates His Majesty Willem-Alexander on Netherlands National Day

The President of the Republic of Liberia, His Excellency Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., has sent a message of congratulations to His Majesty Willem-Alexander, King of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, on the celebration of the National Day of the Kingdom of the Netherlands on April 27, 2026.

According to a Foreign Ministry release, President Boakai extended warm congratulations and best wishes to His Majesty King Willem-Alexander, the Government, and the people of the Kingdom of the Netherlands on behalf of the Government and people of the Republic of Liberia, and in his own name.

โ€œThis landmark day not only marks the rich heritage and resilience of the Dutch people but also serves as a moment to reflect on the strong and enduring bonds between our two nations,โ€ President Boakai declared, adding that Liberia and the Netherlands share a historically significant relationship rooted in shared values of diplomacy, economic cooperation, and mutual respect.

The Liberian leader further applauded the Netherlandsโ€™ forward-thinking approach, particularly at this critical juncture in global relations, while expressing hope for deepening collaboration in the spirit of equality and mutual progress.

He then wished His Majesty Willem-Alexander continued health and success, as well as lasting peace and prosperity for the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the years ahead.
