As the Public Procurement and Concessions Commission (PPCC) intensifies preparations for the January 2026 onboarding of additional government institutions onto the national procurement platform, the Commission, led by its Executive Director, Hon. Bodger Scott Johnson met with the leadership of the National Social Security and Welfare Corporation (NASSCORP) at its headquarters in sinkor on December 10, 2025
During the engagement, Hon. Johnson met with NASSCORP’s Director-General, Mr. Dewitt B. VonBallmoos, along with procurement leadership. The visit focused on assessing the institution’s level of readiness while also recognizing the progress made in improving procurement practices in line with national standards.
Executive Director Johnson congratulated and commended NASSCORP for its consistency in strengthening compliance measures, enhancing transparency, and demonstrating a proactive approach to procurement governance. He acknowledged the institution’s ongoing reforms and applauded its leadership under Mr. VonBallmoos for prioritizing strong administrative and regulatory alignment.
NASSCORP’s management reaffirmed their commitment to meeting all onboarding requirements, highlighting internal improvements in documentation, digital readiness, and staff coordination. They assured the delegation of their dedication to achieving full compliance ahead of the January deadline.
The PPCC team emphasized the importance of continuous capacity building, proper record-keeping, and strict adherence to procurement regulations as key factors for a successful transition to the national platform.
The visit concluded with Hon. Johnson assuring NASSCORP of the Commission’s sustained support through training, guidance, and technical assistance as the institution prepares for its 2026 onboarding.
