Foreign Minister Nyanti Lauds Outgoing Sweden Ambassador For Service To Liberia

MONROVIA, Aug. 8 (LINA) – Liberia’s Foreign Minister, Sara Beysolow Nyanti has expressed profound gratitude to the outgoing Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden, His Excellency Urban Sjöström for the significant assistance Sweden has provided to Liberia.

During a farewell courtesy at the Foreign Ministry on Wednesday August 7 by Ambassador Sjöström, Minister Nyanti praised Ambassador Sjöström for his vital role in strengthening the historic ties between the two nations.

According to her, Sweden has played a major role in boosting Liberia’s economy adding that the “government is grateful and wishes the Ambassador for a successful tenure.”

Minister Nyanti also highlighted Sweden's crucial contributions to peace, development, and humanitarian efforts in Liberia, terming the moment as a reflection of excellent diplomatic relations between the two nations.

"As we bid farewell to Ambassador Sjöström, we celebrate the strong and enduring partnership between Liberia and the Kingdom of Sweden", Minister Nyanti said.

Also making remarks, Ambassador Sjöström in turn, appreciated the warm reception and cooperation he received, noting key achievements in gender issues and the blue economy.
