On December 9, 2025, the Public Procurement and Concessions Commission (PPCC) continued its awareness engagements with Executive Director Hon. Bodger Scott Johnson making a targeted visit to the Liberia National Police (LNP) to review progress and encourage continued institutional readiness for the EGP system.

Hon. Johnson held a productive meeting with Inspector General Gregory Coleman and the LNP’s Procurement Director with discussions centered on the Police’s ongoing efforts to streamline their procurement structures and ensure full alignment with national regulatory requirements.

Hon. Johnson expressed satisfaction over the improvements observed within the LNP, noting that the institution has shown commendable focus in strengthening its processes. He praised the leadership for taking practical steps to enhance compliance, improve documentation procedures, and promote greater transparency across its operations.

Inspector General Coleman outlined several measures the LNP has undertaken in recent months, including team coordination enhancements, digital preparedness initiatives, and internal reforms aimed at achieving full onboarding readiness, and assured the PPCC delegation that the LNP remains committed to completing all required adjustments before the January deadline.

The PPCC team emphasized that maintaining strong administrative discipline, adhering to procurement rules, and investing in staff capacity will be crucial to achieving a smooth integration into the national procurement platform.

Wrapping up the engagement, Hon. Johnson reaffirmed PPCC’s commitment to supporting the Liberia National Police through continuous technical guidance, training opportunities, and hands-on assistance as the institution prepares for its onboarding in early 2026.
