The LACC, through its Monitoring and Investigation Department, on Friday, September 18, 2026, Held a Stakeholder Validation Exercise for its Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Investigation at the Financial Intelligence Agency (FIA)

The exercise focused on reviewing the Commission’s existing investigation procedures and proposed amendments to ensure that the SOPs remain responsive to the operational needs of the Monitoring and Investigation Department and continue to effectively support the LACC in carrying out its anti-corruption mandate. LACC Executive Chairperson Cllr. Alexandra K. Zoe highlighted the importance of periodically reviewing established procedures as the Commission’s work and operational experience evolve. She noted that the proposed amendments seek to strengthen the existing framework and address areas requiring improvement. The validation was attended by Cllr. Abrahim Boimah Sillah, Sr., Acting Solicitor General of Liberia, who actively contributed to the review and proposed amendments to the Commission’s SOPs.  The exercise brought together representatives of key integrity and accountability institutions, including the Financial Intelligence Agency, Governance Commission, Liberia National Bar Association, Office of the Ombudsman, Witness Protection Agency, Public Accounts Committee and Liberia National Police. Representing the Public Accounts Committee of the Legislature, Senator Gbehzohngar Milton Findley of Grand Bassa County reaffirmed the Committee’s support for collaboration with Liberia’s integrity institutions. The validation forms part of the LACC’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its investigative framework, improve institutional coordination, and ensure that its investigation procedures remain effective and responsive to emerging operational needs.
