His Excellency, President Joseph N. Boakai, on today Friday commissioned the Minister of Information, Cultural Affairs and Tourism, Hon. Jerolinmek Piah in the Parlours of the Executive Mansion.

Minister Piah was commissioned along with 10 members of the Liberian Cabinet and some heads of State-owned Enterprises, Security Agencies and the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of Liberia.

Two Deputy Ministers and two City Mayors were also commissioned.

The  Commissioning is the fourth and last stage within our Liberian governance system for taking certain offices within the Executive and Judiciary Branches.
Commissioning follows nomination, confirmation hearing before the Senate and appointment after being confirmed by the Senate.

It constitutes full authority to execute one’s functions and responsibilities in accordance with laws. President Boakai admonished the newly commissioned officials to fully discharge their duties and perform to expectations.
