Johnny Tarkpah is a distinguished professional with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting, earned with distinctions from the University of Liberia. He furthered his education by obtaining a master’s degree in accounting from Abertay University in Britain and is currently concluding a second master’s degree in finance from Johns Hopkins University in the United States.

With a wealth of experience spanning both public and private sectors, Johnny has held key roles in various organizations. His journey includes significant contributions to Liberia's NGO sector as an accountant, as well as pivotal roles in the banking sector, including serving as the Country Operations’ Manager for Ecobank and Guaranty Trust Bank Liberia, and a founding member of Guaranty Trust Bank Liberia.

In the public sector, Johnny has demonstrated expertise as the Financial Officer at the National Oil Company of Liberia and as an Assistant Minister at the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning. His international experience includes consulting for Toyota Financials on Lease accountancy and contributing as fiscal accountant at PCA in the state of Pennsylvania, USA. Additionally, he has worked at the World Bank in Washington, DC., the United States on projects for Low-to-Middle-Income countries.

Johnny's commitment to knowledge sharing is evident through his tenure as a lecturer of accounting at the University of Liberia. Currently serving as the Deputy Minister for Administration at the Ministry of Information Cultural Affairs and Tourism, Johnny Tarkpah continues to bring his extensive expertise to drive organizational excellence and contribute to Liberia's development initiatives.
