Chief Justice Assures Modern Court For Bomi

TUBMANBURG, JUNE 24 (LINA) – The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Liberia, Cllr. Francis Korkpor, has assured citizens of Bomi of the construction of a modern court house in the county.


Chief Justice Korkpor said the new court house is intended to give adequate access and speedy justice to the people of Bomi County.

He said it was also the desire of the Judicial Branch of government to provide decent court facilities for judges, counselors and court administrators throughout the country.

Chief Justice Korkpor gave the assurance on Saturday, June 22, when he visited the site earmarked for the construction of a court house in Tubmanburg.

Chief Justice Korkpor said the construction of the court will commence as soon as the proper documents are put in place and the deed for the land is made available.

He urged the people of the county to work along with the county administration, court administrators and the Supreme Court Administrators to provide all the necessary documents needed to start the construction.

He did not say what will be cost for the construction of the modern court facilities.

In remarks at the occasion, Bomi County Superintendent Samuel Brown pledged the support of the people of the county to the Judicial Branch of government, and assured the county’s fullest support in ensuring the commencement of the construction soonest.

Presently, the 11th Judicial Circuit Court in Tubmanburg, Bomi County is conducting its activities at the Tubmanburg Administrative Building that is also hosting other government ministries and agencies.
