Minister of Public Works William Gyude Moore has disclosed plans to rehabilitate about 25 community roads in Monrovia and its suburbs before the end of the dry season.
Speaking at the Ministry of Information regular press briefing on Thursday, he said the project was intended to make the roads accessible by vehicles and pedestrians.
Minister Moore noted that many of the roads currently in deplorable conditions had not been rehabilitated for a long period of time.
Meanwhile, the Public Works Minister has also disclosed that major rehabilitation works on the Freeway Somalia Drive road outside Monrovia will commence in early March.
He said discussions were ongoing with contractors for the rehabilitation of the route that links the sprawling suburb of Gardnersville to the Bushrod Island.
He expressed hope that the rehabilitation work will ease off constant traffic conjunction being experienced by drivers and commuters along that route.
