Bomi County Health Officer, Dr. Gabriel Gorbee Logan, has disclosed the construction of a Community Care Center (CCC) in Jenneh #3, Dewein District in Bomi County.

Dr. Logan said the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in collaboration with the Bomi County Health Team is undertaking the project.

Making the disclosure in an interview to the Liberia News Agency on Thursday in Tubmanburg, Dr. Logan said 95 percent of the work on the project has been done and that the entire project will be completed next week.

Logan, who did not give the cost of the project, further said when completed, the Community Care Center will be operated by Plan Liberia.

He said this will be the first community care center in the county since the Ebola outbreak.

According to him, the center is intended to observe and cater to suspected Ebola patients, noting that because the center is not responsible to treat Ebola cases, it will transfer confirmed cases to the Tubmanburg Ebola Treatment Unit.
